Product Development Project Manager – Consumer Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and maintain the product cost calculator, which includes materials, manufacturing, packaging, freight, and landed costs.

• Develop and update pricing models to align with margin targets and inform sales strategies.

• Create and oversee product development timelines and Gantt charts for multiple projects.

• Collaborate daily with the China team to monitor samples, approvals, revisions, and production milestones.

• Keep the Sales team informed about product status, launch dates, costs, and any changes.

• Identify delays, cost fluctuations, and risks early on, and suggest solutions.

• Organize project documentation, trackers, and status reports effectively.

• Conduct regular check-ins to ensure stakeholders remain aligned and decision-making progresses smoothly.

• Enhance processes and tools to facilitate seamless product development as the portfolio expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in project management within consumer product development, preferably with physical goods sold through retail or e-commerce channels.

• Proven ability to manage product timelines from concept through sampling, production, and launch phases.

• Strong knowledge of product costing, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.

• Proficient in advanced Excel or Google Sheets; adept at building and maintaining cost models.

• Familiarity with creating Gantt charts and project plans using tools such as Smartsheet, Monday, Asana, MS Project, or similar platforms.

• Experience collaborating with overseas suppliers or manufacturing teams, particularly in China, is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple products at various stages simultaneously.

• A background solely in software, IT, or localization project management is not suitable.

• Must reside in the Philippines.
