This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the complete product design process, from discovery and concept development to prototyping, validation, developer handoff, launch, and iteration.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, scientists, clinicians, and stakeholders to identify challenges, prioritize opportunities, and implement solutions.
• Work alongside clinicians, data scientists, practitioners, and content partners to transform complex microbiome science into clear and reliable product experiences.
• Convert customer insights into product enhancements using user research, analytics, experimentation, and feedback after launch.
• Create intuitive and accessible experiences that make complex health information easier to understand and empower users to take meaningful actions.
• Act quickly and iterate frequently while maintaining a balance between speed and quality.
• Advocate for product quality through interaction design, visual craftsmanship, systems thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Contribute to and enhance the design system.
• Shape product strategy by recognizing opportunities, questioning assumptions, and championing customer needs.
• Foster the growth of the design practice through critiques, feedback, process enhancements, and a culture of learning and collaboration.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, shipping, and evolving digital products.
• A robust portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product design and measurable results.
• Background in designing responsive web and mobile applications.
• Outstanding attention to interaction design, usability, and visual craftsmanship.
• Proficient in Figma, including aspects of prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and distill complex or technical concepts into straightforward, user-centered experiences.
• Highly autonomous and self-motivated, capable of managing competing priorities and driving initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable operating in a remote-first setting and collaborating via both asynchronous and synchronous channels.
• Preferred: experience with distributed teams across various time zones.
• Preferred: background in DTC health/wellness companies.
• Preferred: experience in fast-paced startup environments.
• Preferred: experience with remote work and proficiency in Slack.
