Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of designing merchant workflows for customer orders, transactions, payments, and back-office integrations.

• Lead discovery efforts with store owners and managers through interviews, usability testing, and, when feasible, in-store visits.

• Transform research insights into definitive design choices.

• Simplify complex information to make it understandable and actionable, including payouts, fees, sales reports, and transaction histories.

• Create responsive experiences for mobile and tablet devices.

• Collaborate with product managers to establish requirements and challenge existing assumptions.

• Work alongside engineers to realize designs and support AI-assisted design and build workflows.

• Contribute to and enhance the design system, incorporating patterns for tables, filters, and detail pages.

• Cooperate with other designers to improve both back-office and in-store experiences.

• Engage in roadmap discussions and iterative processes post-launch.

• Offer a unique perspective beyond mere execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of product/UX design experience within a startup or rapidly evolving environment.

• A portfolio that showcases comprehensive work, including research, problem framing, and completed product.

• Experience in designing data-intensive web products, such as dashboards, reports, or transaction views.

• Proven ability to design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

• Strong skills in visual and interaction design.

• Capability to plan discovery sessions, rapidly synthesize findings, and convert ambiguous challenges into clear design directives.

• Experience in closely partnering with PMs and providing constructive feedback.

• A systems-thinking approach focused on patterns, consistency, and scalable designs.

• Comfortable collaborating with engineers in a dynamic R&D setting and understanding implementation limitations.

• Proficient in Figma and Claude, with the ability to prototype swiftly.
