Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Convert product concepts, references, sketches, and existing physical items into digital designs, technical drawings, tech packs, and specifications ready for production.

• Design and adapt a variety of products including motorcycle parts and accessories, bags and luggage, apparel, protective gear, combat sports equipment, and other consumer goods.

• Produce comprehensive product specifications that detail dimensions, materials, components, construction methods, stitching, hardware, color options, finishes, and manufacturing requirements.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and international manufacturers throughout the design, sampling, feedback, revisions, and final production processes.

• Generate technical illustrations and product drawings utilizing Adobe Illustrator, CAD software, and other relevant design tools.

• Create and alter CAD files for physical products.

• Assemble technical design files that communicate product dimensions, construction details, components, and specifications necessary for manufacturing.

• Assist with 3D modeling, prototyping, scanning, and 3D printing as capabilities grow.

• Design packaging and production-ready artwork that includes product information, branding, logos, and required elements.

• Implement existing brand identities across products, packaging, color schemes, and physical brand touchpoints.

• Aid in branding, logo, illustration, and graphic design tasks for in-house brands.

• Work closely with the current designer on the company’s product and brand portfolio.

• Oversee multiple product design projects while ensuring accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

• Prioritize and advance a significant product development pipeline.

• Manage projects, priorities, and workflows using Asana.

• Refine designs based on feedback from internal teams and manufacturers, while keeping organized files, specifications, and revisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in product design, industrial design, technical design, product development, or a closely related physical-product domain.

• Extensive experience in creating detailed tech packs, technical drawings, specification sheets, or documentation ready for production.

• Exceptional attention to detail concerning measurements, materials, components, construction, and product specifications.

• High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, particularly for technical illustrations and product design.

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative Suite.

• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or another pertinent CAD platform.

• Strong understanding of physical product design and manufacturing processes.

• Capability to transform concepts, reference products, sketches, or ideas into detailed, production-ready digital designs.

• Experience refining designs through sampling and revision phases with manufacturers.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects within a busy product development pipeline.

• Robust portfolio showcasing physical product design and technical design work.

• Relevant qualifications in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field are considered a valuable asset, though not mandatory.

• Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling, 3D printing, prototyping, or 3D scanning is a plus.

• Experience collaborating directly with overseas manufacturers or factories is beneficial.

• Background in designing consumer products such as bags, luggage, apparel, sporting goods, motorcycle products, accessories, or equipment is advantageous.

• Graphic design experience in areas such as packaging, branding, logos, brand identity, or illustration is beneficial.

• An interest in motorcycles, motorsports, action sports, combat sports, or related sectors is a plus.

• Ability to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Australian time.
