Product Design Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of product designers.

• Collaborate strategically with Product and Engineering teams to define, shape, and prioritize product strategies and roadmaps.

• Champion the experience vision and advocacy for designated product areas.

• Identify strategic UX opportunities across various product areas and the wider platform.

• Mentor designers to prioritize user needs, provide visionary direction, and shape focus areas.

• Conduct design reviews aimed at enhancing craft quality and ensuring strategic alignment.

• Foster the development of designers' skills, judgment, and overall impact through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• Recruit top-tier designers and create an environment conducive to team success and retention.

• Identify and coordinate strategic user research initiatives.

• Maintain expertise and a thorough understanding of the complete Weave platform.

• Report directly to the Director of Product Design.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of formal design management experience OR over 4 years of equivalent team leadership as a Lead Individual Contributor in a complex product setting.

• At least 5 years of practical product design experience in a product-led software company.

• Proven track record of co-leading product strategies in collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Data teams.

• Expertise in crafting adaptable UX strategies and translating intricate data workflows and user insights into flexible, scalable, and intuitive design systems.

• A clear and empathetic approach to guiding and motivating distributed design teams across different time zones.

• Comfort with navigating ambiguity, changing priorities, and emerging technologies such as AI/LLM tools.

• Experience with complex B2B SaaS products that involve multi-step workflows or multiple interconnected product domains.

• Proven experience in directly managing full-time Product Designers, including oversight of performance and career growth.

• Must provide an online portfolio or recent case studies of work; applications that do not include examples of work will not be considered.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to present valid Form I-9 documentation.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
