This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to create user-friendly features across Sezzle’s platforms.
• Develop wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, and interaction flows.
• Enhance the design system by constructing and documenting reusable components in Figma.
• Maintain design consistency and UI patterns, language, and branding across product elements.
• Engage in user research and testing activities.
• Showcase design work and rationale to the design team and stakeholders, collect feedback, and iterate accordingly.
• Investigate illustration, motion design, and micro-interactions to improve the overall experience.
• Currently pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• Some practical UI/UX or product design experience gained through internships, coursework, freelance work, or personal projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Figma for interface design and prototyping tasks.
• Experience with Claude or similar large language model tools; comfortable using AI for productivity, research, and communication purposes.
• Knowledge of contemporary product design trends and basic design principles.
• Previous experience in designing for web or mobile platforms.
• An inquisitive nature regarding testing and validating designs with users.
• Understanding of scalable UI systems, including color and typography tokens and components.
• Experience in creating and updating UI components in Figma.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring quality.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to accept feedback.
• A portfolio or PDF showcasing 3–4 of the best digital design projects, including problem and project requirements, as well as the design process.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS/React is advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Preferred: experience with animation or motion tools like After Effects, Lottie, or Rive.
• Preferred: interest in interactive components and motion-enhanced micro-interactions.
• Preferred: curiosity about AI-supported design processes.
