This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Review, cleanse, and standardize product catalog data across various attributes including categorization, size, color, material, brand, and related product features.
• Implement established rules and taxonomy structures to bring consistency to inconsistent product data.
• Map products to the appropriate categories and classifications.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for data imputation, enrichment, and generating candidate suggestions.
• Assess and validate any ambiguous or potentially incorrect recommendations generated by AI.
• Create and enforce validation rules to enhance the accuracy and consistency of data.
• Conduct sample-based accuracy and quality checks.
• Reconcile data and identify any discrepancies or mismatches.
• Apply confidence scoring to data decisions when suitable.
• Maintain audit trails and document the rationale behind data changes.
• Escalate any unresolved or significant data quality issues.
• Generate a handover document that includes data provenance, methodology, and known caveats.
• Operate within short delivery sprints aligned with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and acceptance criteria.
• Provide regular updates on progress throughout the assignment.
• Assist in creating a canonical product master for assortment analysis and informed business decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience in manual data cleansing and ensuring data quality.
• Familiarity with rule-based data normalization.
• Understanding of data taxonomy and category mapping.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with SQL and/or Python for data sampling, validation, or reconciliation.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, PairD, or similar technologies to enhance data analysis, predictions, or candidate suggestions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to data validation.
• Capability to differentiate between reliable data and ambiguous or potentially inaccurate information.
• Experience adhering to defined SOPs, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
• Comfortable working autonomously within short, focused delivery sprints.
• Background as an experienced Product Data Quality Analyst supporting data quality and standardization initiatives.
