This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Participate in the transformation and modeling of data within the Gold and Platinum Medallion layers utilizing SQL.
• Develop and enhance analytics best practices related to metric definition, data integrity, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with experts in Insurance, Revenue, Operations, and other relevant fields to convert business requirements into scalable analytics solutions and visual presentations.
• Examine portfolio segmentation, loss experiences, partner performance, underwriting processes, and renewal behaviors.
• Leverage data analysis, statistical and quantitative methods, dashboards, forecasting, and evidence-based storytelling to assist leaders in understanding performance and uncovering opportunities.
• Work alongside data scientists, engineers, analysts, insurance specialists, and business partners throughout Coterie.
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• A minimum of three years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or a comparable role.
• Proficient in SQL with experience in querying, joining, validating, and analyzing intricate datasets.
• Experience in creating recurring reports, analytical datasets, and complex formulas using modern data tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation.
• Exceptional critical-thinking, creative problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate efficiently in a remote setting.
• Experience dealing with insurance-related data, including loss experience, premium generation, underwriting, or operational metrics.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is required.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks or similar modern cloud analytics platforms.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Python or R.
• Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Preferred: Advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field.
• Preferred: In-depth understanding of commercial insurance.
