This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and manage the master product record on all platforms, including part numbers, item descriptions, product classifications, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and revision histories, in accordance with the Product Lifecycle (PLC) framework.
• Oversee the product data lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) through engineering modifications, product variations, and end-of-life processes, ensuring that all lifecycle stage gates have comprehensive and accurate data prior to progression.
• Act as the principal data steward for CPQ configurator platforms such as DATABAR, IBAR, and Low Voltage Switchgear, ensuring that product options, rules, and configurations align with the currently approved product records.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to establish configurator data needs for new products and convert them into structured, validated configurator data inputs.
• Recognize and resolve systemic root causes of data inaccuracies through organized improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Computer Science/Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in product data management, product management, PLM, CPQ, or a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering-focused organization.
• Proven experience with CPQ configurator platforms.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Autodesk, Windchill, and Solidworks products, especially Inventor and Autodesk Vault, including part management, assembly structures, and revision control.
• Practical experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar) in the context of item master management, BOM management, or procurement data.
• Established experience in managing or assisting with Engineering Change Order/Notice (ECO/ECN) processes in a multi-site or multi-system setting.
• Strong knowledge of EBOM/MBOM structures and NPI processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proven history of enhancing data quality in complex, multi-system environments.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills — adept at leading cross-functional discussions involving engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
