This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assess procurement plans, purchasing strategies, and associated work products for accuracy and practical viability.
• Evaluate proposed methodologies against realistic procurement processes and business necessities.
• Examine procurement priorities, sourcing choices, purchasing workflows, approvals, documentation, and operational controls.
• Analyze vendor-management strategies, supplier relationships, performance-management methods, escalation recommendations, and governance structures.
• Review strategic sourcing and supplier-selection methods, focusing on cost, quality, capability, and operational requirements.
• Assess supplier scorecards, evaluations, performance analyses, corrective actions, and performance-enhancement strategies.
• Evaluate procurement-related financial analyses, supplier comparisons, pricing, costs, value, and commercial trade-offs.
• Review procurement reports, vendor analyses, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, tables, and visuals for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and decision-making utility.
• Measure assigned outputs against domain-specific quality standards.
• Identify commercial, operational, analytical, factual, presentation, aesthetic, and formatting deficiencies.
• Differentiate between substantive issues and minor editorial matters.
• Deliver clear, structured written feedback outlining strengths and weaknesses.
• Consistently apply evaluation criteria across procurement and vendor-management work products.
• 5+ years of pertinent professional experience in procurement, vendor management, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or a closely related discipline.
• Background as a Procurement Manager, Vendor Manager, Sourcing Manager, Category Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or equivalent role.
• Strong practical knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
• Experience in developing or reviewing sourcing strategies, supplier evaluations, procurement analyses, vendor-management plans, or similar work products.
• Capability to evaluate procurement recommendations for commercial viability and operational practicality.
• Strong analytical judgment with a keen focus on supplier, cost, and performance factors.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical capabilities.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, structured feedback.
• A Master’s degree or higher from a recognized institution is a plus.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Engagement as a part-time independent contractor.
