Senior Manager, Procurement – Fuel and Material Supplied Equipment Group

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Fuel and Material Supplied Equipment (FMSE) Group to ensure the safe and prompt delivery of equipment for the Natrium fuel supply.

• Serve as the line manager for Equipment Supply Managers within the FMSE group.

• Collaborate with Natrium Fuel Supply & Development regarding reactor core components, raw materials, non-fuel assemblies, prototypic fuel-development components, and fuel supply logistics.

• Provide support and supervision for the HALEU facility contract.

• Ensure effective supplier performance management and oversight.

• Track the fuel equipment supply chain to meet cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.

• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure adherence to procedures and processes.

• Guarantee that Equipment Supply Managers utilize project-management tools for supplier cost, schedule, submittal, and resource management.

• Work with supplier management to preserve the integrity of contractual and technical directions.

• Evaluate statements of work and project planning for supplier-project execution.

• Supervise supplier selection processes.

• Stay informed about supplier technical capabilities, organizational changes, and relationships to provide feedback to Natrium.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering is required.

• 10-20 years of experience in supplier interactions.

• Preferred 3-5 years of management experience in a related field.

• Proven capabilities in managing suppliers within design and manufacturing settings.

• Demonstrated experience supporting the contractual and commercial aspects of customer-supplier interactions.

• Prior experience in technical collaboration with engineering teams for supplier activity reviews and input.

• Required experience with project controls and the organization, as well as tools and processes that support them.

• A comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and their interconnections.

• Strong communication skills are preferred.

• Ability to perform physical job functions, with or without accommodation, including prolonged sitting or standing, bending, grasping, fine motor control, and repetitive tasks.

• Capability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to work in environments involving stairs, typing/keyboard use, and standard or seated settings for more than 8 hours daily.

• Willingness and capability to travel 25%-50% or more.
