This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee specific fluid commodity categories such as valves, pumps, and heat exchangers within the Gas Power sector.
β’ Handle all commercial aspects of supplier purchase orders for the designated commodities.
β’ Formulate and implement supplier strategies aimed at optimizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
β’ Identify suppliers for project needs, lead commercial negotiations, and assist in executing the sourcing strategy.
β’ Distribute demand across the supplier network and ensure compliance with GE Vernova standards and business goals.
β’ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and other essential stakeholders to coordinate supplier awards and purchase order placements.
β’ Manage changes to purchase orders, commercial claims, and supplier-related issues regarding delivery, quality, and cost performance.
β’ Cultivate and uphold expertise in the assigned commodities and supply markets.
β’ Back continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier performance and refine business processes.
β’ Tackle complex business challenges, foster stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes within cross-functional teams.
β’ Act as a mentor and resource for junior team members.
β’ Leverage business judgment, technical knowledge, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to facilitate informed decision-making.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; OR a High School Diploma/GED with substantial relevant experience.
β’ At least five (5) years of experience in supplier management, procurement, sourcing, commodity management, supplier quality, or a related supply chain area.
β’ Willingness and capability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
β’ Proven experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, Supply Chain Management, supplier negotiations, and contract development.
β’ Familiarity with commercial terms and conditions, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
β’ Demonstrated ability to devise and implement sourcing strategies that enhance supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
β’ Strong analytical abilities with experience in utilizing data to inform business decisions and drive operational enhancements.
β’ Experience in a cross-functional environment collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Procurement teams.
β’ Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
β’ Capacity to effectively prioritize multiple projects, manage competing demands, and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
β’ A continuous improvement mindset with proven problem-solving and project management skills.
β’ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
β’ Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.
