Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Evaluate vendor agreements focusing on payment conditions, automatic renewals, price adjustments, penalties, minimum commitments, termination clauses, and currency fluctuations.

• Negotiate better pricing, discounts, extended payment terms, and flexible arrangements with suppliers.

• Operate within the current approval process while ensuring quick turnaround times for contract reviews.

• Assess company expenditures by category to spot redundant tools, unused subscriptions, and opportunities for cost savings.

• Monitor contract expiration dates and proactively prepare for renewals and renegotiations.

• Propose enhancements to the approval process, procurement policies, and spending limits.

• Oversee the contract approval and financial review segment for the Finance team.

• Manage roughly 40 contracts monthly in areas such as marketing, employee events, SaaS, and IT services.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or financial oversight.

• Excellent analytical abilities with confidence in data handling and constructing comparison models.

• Proficiency in contract reading and identifying financial risks.

• Proven experience negotiating with vendors, demonstrating a history of achieving cost reductions.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or above.

• Familiarity with international vendors involving multiple currencies and regulatory environments.

• Capability to utilize LLMs and AI tools for contract assessments, expenditure analysis, and reporting.

• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.

• Experience with SaaS subscriptions, IT services, or licenses is advantageous.

• Practical experience with NetSuite, DocuSign, Jira, or similar platforms is a plus.
