Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Manage the freight purchasing processes with suppliers, agents, and shipping companies located in Asia.

• Ensure continuity of negotiations and requests addressed during the daytime.

• Identify optimization opportunities in freight purchasing and execute renegotiation processes when necessary.

• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and strategic partners to ensure compliance with established agreements.

• Update information in corporate systems, ensuring proper documentation and traceability of actions taken in CargoWise.

• Prepare reports and provide a detailed summary of activities executed to ensure an effective transition with the daytime team.

• Handle escalations and resolve issues that arise during the nighttime shift.

• Ensure operational continuity of the area through proactive management focused on problem-solving.

• Provide operational and strategic nighttime support to the Procurement team.

• Follow up on activities initiated during the daytime shift.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related fields.

• At least 3 years of experience in Customer Service, Pricing, Procurement, or areas related to international logistics.

• Knowledge of import processes, international transportation, and supply chain management.

• Experience negotiating with maritime transport suppliers will be valued.

• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Ability to analyze and manage multiple priorities.

• Results-oriented with a focus on internal customer service.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Capacity to work independently and make timely decisions.

• Proactive in identifying risks, solving problems, and effectively managing critical situations.

• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and high-demand operational environment.

• Advanced English (mandatory).

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with international suppliers.

• Availability to work nighttime hours aligned with Asia's business hours.

• Willingness to address operational situations and escalations requiring immediate management during the shift.
