This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Coordinate, organize, and oversee the activities related to the identification, evaluation, analysis, and procurement of company materials and services.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to prepare and initiate invitations to bid, negotiate, award purchase orders, close purchase orders, and manage supplier performance for significant projects and contracts.
• Review planned Bills of Materials and ensure that purchase orders are generated prior to commitment and approval.
• Transmit approved purchase orders and related documents to suppliers; track acknowledgements and confirm lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
• Review, update, and maintain open purchase orders until they are closed.
• Report supplier non-conformances and prepare return documentation, ensuring follow-up until resolution.
• Consolidate, reduce, and rationalize the local supplier base to meet assigned cost improvement targets.
• Act as the primary contact for supplier inquiries and lead supplier meetings to address or mitigate critical issues.
• Prepare reports and KPI measurements, including savings reports.
• Develop and uphold the Supplier Relationship Management program.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing Leads, Material Coordinators, and Project Managers.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive inventories of materials and supplies at company locations.
• Ensure the availability of required quantities of supplies, services, and materials to optimize production.
• Assess the efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
• Negotiate prices and delivery terms for materials, services, and supplies.
• Advise the project cost development team on the availability and costs of supplies, services, and materials.
• Coordinate engineering or construction changes to ensure a timely and orderly transition of material and production flows.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality and delivery standards; identify and qualify new suppliers.
• Recruit and train departmental staff.
• Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
• Manage employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a procurement manager or in a similar relevant role is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and internal customers.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive understanding of company processes and logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
