This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and market conditions.
• Identify, assess, and choose suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, delivery reliability, and potential for partnership.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms, conditions, and payment arrangements.
• Cultivate supplier relationships and track their performance against established metrics.
• Examine market trends, economic indicators, industry benchmarks, and spending data to discover cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend procurement needs and offer guidance accordingly.
• Maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance records.
• Oversee inventory levels where applicable to optimize stock management and reduce holding costs.
• Address supplier-related issues and disputes to minimize disruption to operations.
• Enhance procurement processes, systems, and tools for improved efficiency.
• Develop category strategies that align with the overall objectives of the organization.
• Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for assigned categories from requisition through to payment.
• Create and sustain supplier performance management programs.
• Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in roles such as Procurement Buyer, Category Manager, or similar positions focused on strategic sourcing and procurement.
• Proficiency in advanced negotiation techniques and contract management practices.
• A solid understanding of procurement principles, strategic sourcing methods, and industry best practices.
• Experience with procurement software, e-sourcing platforms, and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
• Exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking, complex problem-solving abilities, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capacity to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and excellence.
• Familiarity with sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management frameworks, and methodologies for supplier evaluation.
• Experience in managing indirect spend categories is highly advantageous.
• CPSM or CIPS certifications are considered a plus.
• Understanding of supply chain risk management and strategies for mitigation.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
