This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Ensure exceptional contractor coverage across primary and strategic partner markets.
• Collaborate with the Contractor Operations Manager to recruit, onboard, train, and assist contractors.
• Identify gaps in contractor capacity and market coverage, and devise plans to address these issues.
• Enhance Yardzen’s reputation among landscape contractors to aid in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Act as the main relationship and performance partner for active contractors.
• Establish expectations for responsiveness, site visits, estimate delivery, client follow-ups, and contract submissions.
• Mentor underperforming contractors, implement performance improvement strategies, and recommend termination when necessary.
• Acknowledge high-performing contractors and foster those relationships.
• Facilitate contractor check-ins, town halls, roundtables, and performance discussions.
• Provide leadership with insights into contractor performance, trends, and potential risks.
• Oversee contractor opportunities from the initial matching stage through to the signed build contract.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to address stalled opportunities.
• Lead pipeline reviews, documenting owners, next steps, and timelines.
• Utilize data to identify trends, enhance pipeline progression, and promote design-to-build conversion.
• Maintain reports on contractor activity, pipeline health, market coverage, and conversion performance.
• A minimum of five years of experience in contractor management, account management, partnerships, marketplace operations, or a related area.
• Required experience in landscaping, residential construction, home services, or a closely related field.
• Proven history of managing contractors or external partners to meet defined performance expectations.
• Strong relationship-building abilities and confidence in leading direct, constructive performance discussions.
• Experience in enhancing pipeline progression, conversion rates, or partner performance.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage a large volume of partners and opportunities.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Must reside in a state where Yardzen is registered as an employer.
