This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team that is responsible for securing and maintaining hospital privileges for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
• Provide exceptional service to the operations team, ensuring that providers are privileged in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Manage departmental priorities to effectively address business objectives and operational challenges.
• Report team performance and metrics to senior management.
• Guarantee that all required privileges are upheld 100% of the time.
• Research and analyze complex issues related to provider privileging.
• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee Credentialing Agreements, which includes initial discussions, agreement initiation, and the maintenance of executed agreements.
• Evaluate and enhance privileging processes to reduce turnaround times.
• Allocate assignments and oversee workload distribution.
• Create policies and guidelines, ensuring consistent implementation across the department.
• Engage in necessary education and training sessions.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations, Corporate Compliance program policies, and other relevant policies.
• Directly supervise staff, including assigning tasks, coaching, and managing performance.
• Mentor and develop direct reports, including assisting in their career path development.
• Implement progressive discipline and corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct formal performance evaluations and create improvement plans.
• Manage payroll activities for direct reports, including timekeeping and time-off approvals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in physician credentialing or licensing is required.
• Management experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with credentialing accreditation regulations, policies, procedures, and Joint Commission Standards is essential.
• CPCS or CPCSM certification is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and deliver outstanding customer service through both verbal and written communication with internal customers, hospitals, and vendors in a diverse and distributed team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and communication and collaboration tools across various operating systems.
• Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Understanding of medical terminology is necessary.
• Ability to operate effectively under deadlines and self-manage numerous projects at once.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills are required.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be capable of remaining in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
