Private Markets Leader – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Source, structure, and implement investments across various asset classes and formats.

• Lead due diligence, valuation processes, legal negotiations, and gain Investment Committee approvals.

• Manage portfolio construction, focusing on commitment pacing, vintage and manager diversification, and liquidity strategies aligned with a long-duration liability profile.

• Design for capital efficiency within the constraints of insurance regulatory and rating agency capital frameworks, including rated feeders and customized SMAs.

• Establish strategic relationships with General Partners and position the firm as the preferred partner for co-investment, seeding, and tailored mandates.

• Supervise portfolio monitoring, valuations, amendments, advisory board engagements, and decisions regarding secondary sales.

• Lead and mentor investment professionals.

• Represent the program in dealings with sophisticated counterparties.

• Attend in-person New Hire Orientation on the first day.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• An MBA or CFA / CAIA designation is preferred.

• Experience with insurance capital frameworks, Asset Liability Management (ALM), and capital-efficient structuring is required.

• Extensive experience across multiple asset classes in private markets, including fund investing and direct/co-investment execution in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, and Infrastructure.

• Must possess expertise in two or three of these fields.

• Strong structuring skills in Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), side letters, co-investment terms, continuation vehicles, and custom vehicle formation.

• A demonstrated network for sourcing General Partners and intermediaries.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening may be necessary.
