Privacy Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct, document, and maintain up-to-date vendor privacy assessments.

• Evaluate, compose, and negotiate vendor agreements related to data protection.

• Monitor and refresh records of processing activities (ROPAs).

• Assist in the implementation of data deletion and destruction timelines.

• Oversee staff training and awareness initiatives on data privacy and optimal data protection practices, including the Privacy Champions Program.

• Aid the Senior Privacy Lead with data subject requests, annual revisions of both internal and external privacy documents, and regular training sessions for local data protection officers.

• Support the Privacy Analyst in assembling privacy impact assessments.

• Investigate legislative changes and privacy/data protection obligations in the regions where Sportradar operates.

• Contribute to Sportradar’s business AI transformation and expansion into new betting and gaming sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed attorney.

• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a relevant privacy/data protection role within an international context.

• Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Keen awareness of shifts in the privacy landscape.

• Solid grasp of various applications and systems, including contemporary AI applications and features.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capacity to work effectively with senior stakeholders across different business divisions.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands and requests from various stakeholders.

• Knowledge of AI privacy, IAPP or equivalent privacy certifications, and experience with OneTrust is a plus.
