Principal Vascular Clinical Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert clinical, technical, and product support for Medtronic’s vascular product line.

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes in peripheral arterial, venous, embolization, carotid, and fistula therapies.

• Provide education to customers through personalized training sessions, in-service programs, case support, and participation in conferences.

• Assist sales representatives by covering critical cases and offering technical advice on the safe and effective use of products.

• Work together with sales representatives, managers, and cross-functional teams to implement district business strategies and meet strategic goals.

• Offer timely technical and procedural assistance for urgent customer requests and complex situations.

• Foster and enhance relationships with physicians, administrators, clinicians, and key decision-makers.

• Assess customer needs, address concerns, and relay market feedback and product insights.

• Oversee inventory performance through audits, resolution of discrepancies, support for consignment, and optimization of product availability.

• Organize product launches, inventory transitions, and field initiatives.

• Assist with inventory management, collection of purchase orders, training initiatives, and other operational tasks.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must reside within the designated region: Northern Indiana / South Metro Chicago.

• Willingness to travel to multiple customer accounts in the region, potentially up to 50% of the time.

• Flexibility to work and/or travel outside of standard business hours, including limited evening and weekend shifts.

• Possession of a valid driver's license, active insurance, and a driving record that meets company standards.

• High School Diploma along with at least 11 years of relevant work experience in healthcare, field sales, or experience using complex mathematics, mechanical concepts, science, or computing, OR an associate's degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures, and the medical device industry.

• Proven project management skills and experience in coordinating programs.

• Ability to manage and engage in multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic environment while adhering to deadlines.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a qualification that fulfills 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is needed.

• Capability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs. using both hands.

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for over 8 hours a day; regularly bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance.

• Willingness to work in clinical settings with exposure to eye protection, infectious diseases, and radiation.

• Ability to wear 7–9 lbs. of lead for extended durations.

• Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices, ensuring the necessary vision capabilities to support patient care.

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment for roles below the Principal level.
