Principal Training and Education Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee and conduct instructor-led onboarding and advanced training programs for Medtronic Mapping Specialists who are utilizing the Affera™ Mapping and Ablation System throughout Western Europe.

• Engage in regularly scheduled in-person training sessions.

• Monitor trainee progress and readiness by utilizing structured learning pathways, which include course completion, simulator training activities, evaluations, coaching sessions, and field development milestones.

• Collaborate with regional Mapping Specialists, Sales and Marketing teams, and Global Training colleagues to plan and implement training initiatives.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in electroanatomical mapping and the Affera™ Mapping and Ablation System.

• Provide hands-on, experience-based coaching to enhance Mapping Specialists’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in the field.

• Assess regional learning needs and offer feedback to global partners to modify, localize, and execute training materials and educational strategies within Western Europe.

• Lead or assist in strategic training and capability-building projects.

• Manage training logistics, stakeholder engagement, and project activities related to regional educational programs.

• Report directly to the Senior Training & Education Program Manager for Electrophysiology Therapies.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required (or an equivalent qualification per local regulations) with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience in supporting electroanatomical mapping and complex cardiac arrhythmia ablation procedures.

• Proven expertise in technologies such as Affera™, CARTO™, EnSite™, Rhythmia™, or comparable mapping platforms.

• Strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures, cardiac anatomy, and mapping workflows.

• Experience in delivering training, coaching, or educational initiatives for clinical, technical, or commercial audiences.

• Proven capability to lead and manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

• Proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50%, including regular involvement in week-long training programs and regional educational activities throughout Western Europe.

• Full measles vaccination is a mandatory requirement for this position.
