Principal Thermo-Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Construct, manage, and expand a high-achieving team of thermo-mechanical engineers throughout Europe.

• Establish technical direction, recruit and mentor team members, and oversee field operations.

• Partner with Sales on technical discussions, proof-of-concept assessments, and product showcases.

• Assist customer engineering teams with simulation setup, intricate test scenarios, and result analysis.

• Take ownership of customer onboarding, deployment pipelines, account growth, training, and advanced troubleshooting.

• Offer product insights and convert customer input into product features.

• Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events through technical talks and live demonstrations.

• Monitor competitive technologies, industry developments, and market positioning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

• Over 15 years of practical experience in thermo-mechanical simulations, either as a simulation practitioner or a technical account manager for commercial physics simulation software.

• Mastery of commercial simulation software such as Ansys or Abaqus, or similar platforms.

• Extensive knowledge of semiconductor electronics packaging, advanced packaging technologies like 2.5D/3D IC, or foundry ecosystems.

• Previous experience in dedicated customer-facing roles.

• Hands-on programming experience with Python or C++ for workflow automation or simulation data analysis.

• Demonstrated managerial or technical leadership capabilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Familiarity with thermal solutions management and/or Electrical Signal Integrity and Power Integrity processes (preferred).

• Direct experience in bringing technical software to market, preferably EDA or CAE simulation tools (preferred).

• Previous experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering, or strategic technical sales (preferred).

• Ability to embrace and advocate for physics-based and AI-assisted design or simulation tools (preferred).
