This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

đź“‹ Description

• Conduct structural analysis for assigned steel connection design projects.

• Collaborate on CISC and AISC projects, with AISC initiatives spearheaded by the US firm.

• Design steel connections, miscellaneous steel components, and erection engineering solutions.

• Create calculations and innovative calculation methods to boost efficiencies.

• Review steel shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare necessary submittals for project requirements.

• Develop Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.

• Utilize software tools including Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Revit.

• Analyze 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design, and shop drawing evaluations.

• Collaborate with the project manager and associated team to coordinate and execute company projects.

• Assist in launching new projects and ensure project success from start to finish.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.

• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Willingness to travel to the USA as required.

• Advanced knowledge of applicable building codes, materials, and standards.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency or familiarity with Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Revit is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving capabilities, and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Enthusiasm for steel design and a commitment to expanding professional knowledge and skills in steel construction.

• Strong relationship management skills and receptiveness to feedback.

• A Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is an advantage.

• PE (P.Eng.) certification is beneficial.
