Principal Supply Chain Partner Manager

📋 Description

• Manage strategic relationships with Instacart's largest and most intricate supply chain partners, acting as their primary executive point of contact.

• Establish and drive long-term partnership strategies that align with both partner objectives and Instacart's commercial and product priorities.

• Lead significant cross-functional projects that encompass Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Partnerships.

• Set strategic direction, navigate ambiguity, and ensure accountability across teams without formal authority.

• Create scalable partnership playbooks, models, and go-to-market strategies.

• Discover and cultivate new business opportunities, partner segments, product integrations, and commercial frameworks.

• Act as an internal expert on supply chain dynamics, competitive landscape, and partner requirements.

• Analyze intricate datasets to promote partner growth and inform strategic decision-making.

• Represent Instacart in executive negotiations, industry forums, and C-suite partner quarterly business reviews (QBRs).

• Mentor and provide informal coaching to fellow partner managers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in strategic account management, management consulting, business development, or a related discipline.

• Proven history of managing complex, senior-level partnerships.

• Capacity to develop and implement strategies that yield measurable, company-wide impact.

• Experience in influencing both internal and external executive stakeholders without formal authority.

• Exceptional analytical abilities and skill in translating ambiguous data into strategic recommendations.

• Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence.

• Proficient in leading C-suite discussions and representing the company in external settings.

• Capable of overseeing large, intricate cross-functional initiatives from inception to results.

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain, distribution, or retail ecosystems (preferred).

• Experience in structuring and negotiating complex, multi-year partnership agreements (preferred).

• Background in creating scalable team-level frameworks, processes, or playbooks (preferred).

• Experience in a rapidly growing technology company (preferred).

• Familiarity with influencing product roadmaps or corporate strategy (preferred).
