
Principal Specialist β Digital Cutover Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Plan and execute cutover strategies through detailed step-by-step mock, rehearsal, and production cutover management plans.
β’ Drive the cutover process by ensuring task completion and achieving milestones to stay on schedule.
β’ Facilitate daily meetings with cross-functional thread leads.
β’ Assess team member workloads, task timelines, and potential resource limitations to optimize resource utilization during the cutover.
β’ Engage in proactive risk management by identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring potential risks, with real-time alerts for critical issues.
β’ Oversee and track cutover metrics, including issues and task durations.
β’ Set clear expectations and foster accountability among team members.
β’ Address conflicts, encourage collaboration, and inspire teams to work towards shared objectives.
β’ Manage various cutover activities, tasks, and resources through effective prioritization and time management to achieve program goals.
β’ Additional duties include documentation, reporting, communication with internal stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for improving the quality and efficiency of cutover activities.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 25%-50% to major RTX US locations (Farmington, Richardson, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte).
β’ Usually requires a University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience, OR if there is no degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
β’ Proficient in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Planview, Jira, or similar applications.
β’ Holds CORE or equivalent certifications (e.g., Six Sigma or Change Management) and possesses project management experience.
β’ Familiar with various project methodologies, including both waterfall and agile Scrum approaches.
