Principal Solutions Consultant – AI

📋 Description

• Lead the AI technical strategy throughout sales engagements, serving as the senior technical representative from initial contact to deal finalization.

• Create reusable intellectual assets, including patterns, discussion points, and design recommendations.

• Guide and mentor Solution Consultants to enhance AI knowledge within the organization.

• Oversee technical exploration and alignment among Finance, GRC, Sustainability, IT, and Security teams.

• Analyze customer AI initiatives and determine how Workiva’s governed core integrates.

• Guarantee secure and compliant integration processes.

• Prepare impactful technical presentations and demonstrations.

• Develop customer AI reference architectures that illustrate API-first platform integration within client ecosystems.

• Convey field observations to product, engineering, and leadership teams to shape the AI development roadmap.

• Represent the company publicly through customer and partner engagements at industry events, in thought leadership, and during executive briefings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles in presales solution consulting, solution architecture, or technical consulting.

• At least 3 years dedicated specifically to enterprise AI architecture.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field.

• Practical knowledge in modern AI technologies, such as RAG, agentic systems, MCP, and model selection/evaluation.

• Expertise in enterprise data architecture.

• Proficient in writing clean code for API interactions.

• Capable of conducting technical testing to ensure quality and reliability.

• Familiarity with AI governance standards, including NIST, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act.

• Awareness of security vulnerabilities such as prompt injection and data exfiltration.

• Experience in ensuring audit readiness for machine-generated outputs in regulated settings.

• Knowledge of corporate reporting across Finance, GRC, Sustainability, and the CFO's office.

• Acquainted with SAP, Oracle, and Snowflake.

• Demonstrated success in articulating architectural visions to C-level executives.

• Ability to represent the organization publicly through thought leadership and participation in industry events.

• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or AI are highly desirable.
