This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.
• Lead the pursuit of excellence in B2B strategy, solution development, and closing opportunities within the Utilities sector.
• Create solution sales strategies tailored for Business Markets in the Utilities domain.
• Promote sales of Fixed Wireless Access, OneTalk, Security, and Strategic Phones.
• Enhance market penetration, improve account retention, and acquire new accounts.
• Collaborate effectively with business leaders, marketing teams, product managers, and technical sales personnel.
• Train sales organizations on specifics related to the Utilities vertical.
• Act as a specialist in vertical solutions and strategy, while leading projects and programs for Business Markets.
• Identify, propose, launch, and oversee the complete solution lifecycle from pilot phase to commercial adoption.
• Develop partner strategies and offer expert advice on RFI/RFP/RFQ submissions.
• Engage with key B2B clients as an industry expert to create sales opportunities and discuss industry trends.
• Position Verizon's solutions to address customer business challenges.
• Coordinate account mapping initiatives in collaboration with Sales teams.
• Conduct thorough inquiries, ensure detailed documentation, and provide prompt follow-ups.
• Primarily operate from customer or field locations, with occasional visits to Verizon offices for training and meetings.
• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• At least six years of pertinent sales experience is required.
• Experience in product and partner management.
• In-depth understanding of the Utilities sector, encompassing business practices and trends, competitive landscape, technology requirements, and the ecosystem of partners and solution providers.
• Strong executive presence and exceptional presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel across the United States, up to 50% of the time.
