This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.
• Create and formalize repeatable reference architecture patterns for self-hosted and air-gapped deployments, MCP/AI agent environments, IDP integrations, and secure supply chain workflows.
• Convert reference architectures into customer-facing technical materials, SOW templates, and successful patterns.
• Work collaboratively with product, marketing, and revenue teams to incorporate services into GTM motions and ensure alignment with Docker's AI platform roadmap.
• Identify offerings that contribute to product growth, renewals, and long-term customer value.
• Assist Partnerships & Alliances in selecting, onboarding, and empowering technical integration partners, system integrators, and service delivery partners.
• Provide guidance to enterprise customers on containerization, AI workflows, and secure software supply chains.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture engagements across enterprise integration layers.
• Design and implement self-hosted Docker deployments in air-gapped, regulated, and intricate enterprise environments.
• Set up local image registries and offline toolchains while designing compliance-driven infrastructure.
• Direct the implementation of agentic AI toolchains, encompassing MCP server/client architecture, orchestration, observability integration, and secure deployment patterns.
• Position Docker as a strategic thought leader and influence technology adoption and investment decisions.
• Personally deliver or assign and supervise delivery partners for service engagements.
• Facilitate alignment and decision-making among stakeholders and teams without direct reporting lines.
• Convert field insights into product, services, roadmap, and partner strategies.
• Get acquainted with Docker's mission, products, AI roadmap, and operational model; cultivate partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Sales.
• Scope and define SOWs, deliver, and supervise customer service engagements.
• Engage in reference architecture development and enhancements of service offerings.
• Offer field feedback to foster continuous improvement.
• 7+ years of experience as a Professional Services Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or a comparable role at a SaaS/infrastructure company or consulting firm.
• Proficient in architecting and deploying self-hosted and air-gapped deployment architectures, including local image registries, offline toolchain configuration, network-isolated Kubernetes clusters, and compliance-driven infrastructure constraints.
• Enterprise integration experience with Identity Providers such as Okta, Azure AD, and LDAP/Active Directory.
• Familiarity with OIDC, SAML, SSO, and RBAC design within complex, multi-tenant enterprise environments.
• Practical knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), including MCP server/client architecture, tool and resource orchestration, and secure containerized deployment patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML workflows, LLM deployment, and agentic AI architectures in enterprise settings.
• Understanding of Docker's AI platform roadmap, particularly regarding AI agent containerization, model provenance, and AI supply chain security.
• Comprehensive knowledge of container and software supply chain security, including Docker Hardened Images (DHI), Secure Supply Chain (SSC), SBOM generation, image signing and attestation, vulnerability management, and runtime governance.
• Exceptional facilitation and stakeholder management skills; capable of leading executive-level architecture discussions and influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Direct experience in delivering high-quality service engagements that provide customer value while meeting revenue and ARR growth objectives.
• Acknowledgment from enterprise clients as a strategic technical advisor.
