Principal Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales Lead, Enterprise Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Serving as the technical lead on projects, providing Business Development Managers with clear guidance on pitches and strategies for success.

• Taking ownership of the toolkit utilized by the GTM team, including offering presentations, solution documentation, and reusable reference patterns.

• Identifying which enterprise-network clients are worth pursuing and validating the deals that are secured.

• Facilitating discovery and architecture workshops alongside the BDM, linking automation, orchestration, SD-WAN, and AIOps to the client's specific challenges: slow provisioning, risky changes, alert fatigue, and multi-vendor complexity.

• Managing proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and commercial strategies through to final agreement.

• Guiding practical work across SDN, SD-WAN, Netconf/YANG, Terraform, Ansible, Python/Go, Kubernetes networking, OpenTelemetry, event-driven automation, and AIOps (including event correlation, anomaly detection, and automated root cause analysis).


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise networking, networking software, automation, or platform engineering.

• Proven track record in pre-sales or solutions architecture, having successfully led technical deals from initial contact to closure.

• Practical experience in building or selling networking solutions.

• Experience in architecting real campus, branch, edge, or WAN environments, or the software that operates them.

• Ability to conduct discovery workshops, extract requirements, and document the outcomes, including statements of work, timelines, and effort estimates.

• Capability to develop and demonstrate a proof-of-concept, preferably utilizing automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

• Extensive knowledge of several areas including SDN, SD-WAN, campus/branch/edge architectures, routing and switching, Kubernetes networking, Terraform, Ansible, Python/Go, Netconf/YANG, OpenTelemetry, cloud and multi-cloud networking, AIOps platforms, and CI/CD automation.

• Understanding of enterprise network operations challenges and lengthy technical sales cycles.

• Strong skills in workshops and presentations, gaining credibility with engineering and operations leaders.

• Proficiency in English, at a B2 level or higher.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including afternoon and evening calls with clients in the US.
