Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Establish a vision and spearhead the architecture for significant systems and platforms, ensuring they are scalable and prepared for the future.

• Drive the adoption of technology, with an emphasis on large-scale Web and API architectures.

• Develop and sustain enterprise developer tools, implement robust CI/CD practices, and uphold platform engineering standards.

• Incorporate and promote the use of AI-driven coding and automation tools throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Guide and mentor engineers and technical leaders to enhance technical proficiency across the organization.

• Shape business and product strategies by leveraging deep technical knowledge and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Serve as a thought leader through presentations, documentation, contributions to open source projects, or participation in technical communities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 12 years of experience in professional software engineering and architecture positions.

• Proven experience in building or shaping developer platforms and ecosystems.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, large-scale APIs, developer tooling, and AWS.

• Experience in integrating AI and automation into the SDLC using contemporary tools.

• Demonstrated record of technical leadership and mentoring with a company-wide effect.

• Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with both engineering and executive teams.
