Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Establish the technical vision while transforming the platform into an event-driven agentic operating system.

• Define architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards.

• Create and implement autonomous, event-driven agentic processes.

• Coordinate AI coding agents and develop guardrails, evaluations, and review methodologies.

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to outline outcomes and set product priorities.

• Facilitate architecture and design discussions concentrating on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Deliver technical presentations and live demonstrations to engineers and executives.

• Guide engineers and elevate the team's AI-native engineering standards.

• Advocate for continuous delivery, DevOps, and swift value delivery.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned to fulfill organizational requirements.

• Must reside in the US and possess authorization to work in the US.

• Proficiency, or a significant commitment to achieving proficiency, with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Copilot, or similar tools.

• Ability to discern when to trust an AI agent, when to verify, and when human decision-making is essential.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in multiple programming languages, including C#/.NET, Node.js, or Python.

• In-depth understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven, cloud-native architecture.

• Strong front-end expertise in Angular, React, or a similar modern framework.

• Demonstrated experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development.

• Practical architecture experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and serverless environments.

• Familiarity with SDLC, configuration management, and Agile delivery methodologies.

• Capability to design and manage distributed, multi-cloud environments across Azure and AWS.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer.

• Capacity to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach.

• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 10–15 pounds.

• Manual dexterity for operating computer and office equipment.

• Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.

• Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in virtual meetings.

• Ability to work in a standard office setting with moderate noise levels.

• Willingness to adhere to a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as needed.
