Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Define the technical vision while transforming the platform into an event-driven agentic operating system.

• Create architectural frameworks, patterns, and standards for the engineering team.

• Develop and deliver autonomous, event-driven agentic processes.

• Coordinate AI coding agents and establish guardrails, evaluations, and review practices.

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to determine outcomes and decide on development priorities.

• Facilitate architecture and design discussions focused on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Showcase technical decisions and conduct live demonstrations for engineers and executives.

• Guide engineers and elevate the team's standards in AI-native development.

• Advocate for continuous delivery, DevOps, and swift value delivery.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required to fulfill organizational objectives.

• Must reside in the US.

• Must be authorized to work in the US.

• Proficiency, or a serious commitment to achieving proficiency, with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Copilot, or similar tools).

• Ability to discern when to rely on an agent, when to verify information, and when human intervention is necessary.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in several programming languages including C#/.NET, Node.js, or Python.

• Extensive knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven, cloud-native architectures.

• Strong front-end capabilities in Angular, React, or a similar modern framework.

• Demonstrated experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development methodologies.

• Practical architecture experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and serverless solutions in complex environments.

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), configuration management, and Agile methodologies.

• Capability to design and manage distributed, multi-cloud environments across Azure and AWS.

• Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as necessary.

• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 10–15 pounds.

• Manual dexterity to operate computer and office equipment effectively.

• Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.

• Hearing and speech abilities to communicate efficiently in person, over the phone, and in virtual meetings.

• Ability to work in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels.

• Ability to adhere to a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as needed.
