Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in the development of essential platform features and components as an individual contributor.

• Spearhead the complete design and development process of sophisticated healthcare analytics products.

• Design and implement analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications that enhance business decision-making, workflows, and customer experiences.

• Communicate priorities and expectations while providing the team with necessary resources.

• Ensure the quality of features delivered by the team meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Identify deficiencies in the current architecture and encourage experimentation with new technologies and methodologies.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for executive stakeholders.

• Recognize technical risks and develop strategies for mitigation.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define project scope, evaluate feasibility, and convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Mentor and support engineering teams.

• Keep abreast of emerging healthcare technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including overnight trips.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent substantial industry experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering and/or data engineering within a software product organization.

• More than 5 years of practical experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in the development of healthcare analytics products.

• At least 5 years of experience in architecting and delivering applications across frontend, backend, and data platform development.

• Extensive experience in architecting, building, and delivering complex high-performance SaaS solutions in cloud environments like AWS.

• Familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures.

• Proficient in Java, C#, and Python (preferred).

• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Redshift.

• Understanding of NoSQL databases.

• Expertise in frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Practical experience with data analytics, AI/ML integrations, generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted software development tools.

• Leadership experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including overnight trips.
