Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with colleagues to create advertising software solutions that align with architectural, business, and system requirements

• Design and implement comprehensive solutions while overseeing dependencies and impacts across teams

• Develop software utilizing Go/Python and AWS cloud services

• Conduct quality assurance testing to verify that designs and code fulfill requirements

• Adhere to software change deployment protocols to release tested code into production

• Provide solution-oriented outcomes for diverse and complex challenges

• Mentor junior team members on Scrum practices or development teams

• Manage risks and seek leadership support when needed

• Lead the software engineering and full-stack development of intricate systems

• Operate within SAFe Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, using Jira

• Develop and deploy solutions to cloud environments and AI-enhanced tools

• Deliver high-performance, accessible, and responsive applications

• Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical roadmaps

• Utilize AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, logging, monitoring, dashboarding, Shell scripting, Linux, databases, Snowflake, and SQL

• Assist with unit, pair, and system testing

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering

• 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the role offered or a related field

• Proficiency in Go/Python and AWS cloud services tools and technologies

• Experience in software engineering and full-stack development of complex systems, including leadership roles

• Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as Jira

• Experience in developing and deploying solutions to cloud environments and AI-enabled tools

• Proven success in delivering high-performance, accessible, and responsive applications through performance profiling and optimization techniques

• Knowledge of CI/CD, quality automation, test-driven development, and release strategies

• Experience in contributing to software architecture decisions and technical roadmaps

• Proficient in AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, EKS, SQS, Lambda, Kinesis, and IAM

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Understanding of logging, monitoring, and dashboarding tools, including SumoLogic, ELK/OpenSearch, and CloudWatch

• Skills in Shell scripting and Linux operating systems

• Experience with databases, Snowflake, and SQL

• Experience in supporting unit, pair, and system testing
