This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead impactful engineering projects from uncertainty to quantifiable results

• Enhance architecture, platforms, and engineering practices for improved simplicity, scalability, operability, and maintainability

• Define technical direction and translate technical strategy into actionable plans across products and engineering teams

• Mentor senior engineers and teams in making better decisions, creating reusable patterns, and demonstrating technical leadership

• Collaborate across teams and domains to tackle high-impact engineering challenges without formal authority

• Leverage code, architecture, data, and production systems to establish context and credibility

• Utilize AI tools to innovate, develop, and deliver products more efficiently

• Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering

• Complete product, customer, and value proposition onboarding assessments within the first two weeks

• Achieve defined performance metrics during a six-month evaluation period with ongoing feedback and accountability


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including roles such as Staff or Principal Engineer, or equivalent

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing complex production systems

• Broad knowledge in architecture, delivery, reliability, performance, and operations

• Proven track record of increasing influence and scope beyond individual contributions or immediate team

• Strong sense of urgency with the capability to drive momentum and advance critical projects

• Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a remote work environment

• Excellent communication skills, proactive problem identification, and solution-focused mindset

• Curiosity and humility to question assumptions, seek clarity, engage in constructive disagreements, and commit to decisions

• Natural inclination to use AI tools to enhance productivity

• Ability to successfully complete onboarding assessments and meet performance expectations during a six-month evaluation period
