This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Design and sustain software packaged within ATMS products.
• Uphold documentation and work instructions to comply with ATS SED software engineering standards and procedures.
• Engage in agile practices such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.
• Collaborate with an integrated engineering team in a highly cooperative environment.
• Maintain frequent communication with engineering team members, program management, and external stakeholders.
• Act as a subject matter expert and address complex system challenges.
• Develop and support air traffic control systems utilized for managing and monitoring civil and military aviation traffic.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Proficient in developing, integrating, testing, and validating software components in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle using C/C++.
• U.S. citizenship is strictly required.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and GIT.
• Background in software testing or debugging source code.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
