Principal Security Designer, Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee advanced technical and strategic security engineering services for new construction and renovation projects throughout the RIBA stages.

• Perform risk assessments.

• Formulate mitigation strategies.

• Draft operational requirements.

• Direct master planning for projects ranging from city-level initiatives to mixed-use developments.

• Design physical security measures, such as electronic locking systems, walling, glazing, doors, barriers, and fencing.

• Develop electronic security plans for video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, and intercom systems.

• Offer counter-terrorism advice on Hostile Vehicle Mitigation, bomb blast protection, and ballistics in collaboration with specialists.

• Support significant commercial, mixed-use, critical national infrastructure, and various other construction projects.

• Collaborate with building engineering teams, clients, and project stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in Security Engineering.

• RSES, CSyP, MsyI, or PSP certification.

• Dedication to continuing professional development and personal growth.

• Experience in business development.

• Relevant qualification in a security or engineering-related field.

• Proven expertise in Security Consultancy.

• Newly hired individuals are required to participate in an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
