This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Create and manage the integration architecture linking the Agentic ERP Platform with SAP ECC/EHP environments.
• Establish the SAP tool taxonomy, determining which BAPIs, RFCs, and transactions will be available as agent-consumable tools.
• Develop strategies for SAP LUW handling, including commit/rollback approaches, concurrency controls, and ensuring data consistency.
• Implement secure Park/Post patterns for SAP write tools.
• Develop a tiered autonomy progression system for SAP tools: Read, Draft, Supervised, and Autonomous.
• Construct and oversee SAP connectors that convert platform requests into BAPI/RFC calls, IDoc exchanges, or OData API interactions.
• Apply SAP-specific data validation and transformation logic.
• Design fallback mechanisms for integration failures, such as read-only degraded modes and queued writes.
• Establish SAP JCo connection pooling, manage credentials, and support multi-system landscapes.
• Act as the SAP ECC subject matter expert for the engineering team.
• Provide guidance to MCP Server Developers on SAP tool implementations, schema design, and response patterns.
• Create SAP integration test strategies, sandbox environments, data fixtures, and regression suites.
• Document SAP integration patterns, limitations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with the Oracle Integration Lead to ensure consistent ERP integration patterns and shared tools.
• Partner with AI Data Engineers for SAP data extraction aimed at knowledge pipelines and retrieval systems.
• Coordinate with QA Engineers to ensure comprehensive integration test coverage and validation.
• Consult with the Security & Identity Lead regarding SAP authentication and authorization requirements.
• Report directly to the VP of Platform Engineering.
• Over 12 years of experience with SAP systems, possessing in-depth knowledge of SAP ECC and Enhancement Packages.
• More than 8 years of integration engineering experience developing APIs, connectors, or middleware for enterprise systems.
• Practical experience with SAP integration interfaces such as BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, and CDS views.
• Proven experience in designing integration architectures for complex, multi-module SAP implementations.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and EHP tools, including BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData services, and CDS views.
• Proficient in reading, debugging, and, when necessary, extending ABAP code for integration purposes.
• Experience with SAP JCo for RFC/BAPI connectivity.
• Proficient in Java 21 with Quarkus 3.x.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry.
• Strong understanding of transaction management, including SAP LUW, commit/rollback strategies, idempotency, and concurrency handling.
• Proficiency in Git version control and CI/CD practices.
• Experience in integration test design, mock services, and contract testing.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP ECC and a solid understanding of ERP business processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• SAP certifications are a plus.
• Experience in enterprise software support or SAP consulting is desirable.
• Proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
