This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Implement the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under the direction of leadership.
• Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leadership to create technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks.
• Develop and oversee the technical strategy, ensuring its adoption across system design, infrastructure integrations, application development, and runtime principles.
• Manage the architecture review process, including validation checklists, architectural artifacts, and domain-specific guidance.
• Convert business requirements into well-architected Salesforce platform solutions.
• Design and develop effective end-to-end solutions for intricate business challenges.
• Apply architectural and engineering principles to guarantee scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
• Supervise the technical delivery of custom development integrations and data migration for Salesforce implementations.
• Formulate and execute a comprehensive Salesforce technical strategy that encompasses architecture, development, integration, and maintenance.
• Investigate emerging technologies, develop proofs of concept, and recommend robust, cost-effective solutions.
• Promote the adoption of enterprise design patterns and standardized solution design and development processes.
• Create target-state solution architectures, perform architectural assessments and gap analyses, and define solution roadmaps.
• Collaborate with data architects on data integrity, security, compliance, and data management.
• Work alongside integration architects to develop integration strategies and manage system data flow.
• Ensure that individual solutions are in alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.
• Partner with business leaders to establish business capability models that reflect technology requirements.
• Cultivate a learning community within enterprise architecture and deliver value to business units.
• Report to the Director – Enterprise Architecture and collaborate with IT, product teams, and senior executives.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect.
• Prior experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization utilizing Salesforce Connected Apps and Salesforce AppExchange applications.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions.
• Led at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash (CPQ/RCA) implementations from design to go-live.
• 5+ years of experience defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfillment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support.
• Experience in planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation initiatives.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale Salesforce projects from concept to delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architectural capabilities and ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud or SuccessFactors ecosystem.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 5 years of practical experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Previous roles focused on data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of security architecture principles and practices.
• Proven experience in business capability modeling and translating business requirements into technological solutions.
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics, or similar enterprise applications would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Generative AI Code Assistants like GitHub Copilot and current Generative AI model capabilities would be an asset.
