Principal Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of intricate, multi-phase, and strategic customer implementations and service engagements from inception to formal completion and closure.

• Lead and mentor a small team of Project Managers by setting expectations, reviewing project plans, and ensuring adherence to consistent delivery standards.

• Personally oversee select high-value or high-complexity accounts.

• Establish project management standards, templates, and methodologies within the Professional Services team.

• Define governance structures for complex, multi-phase, recurring, and long-duration programs.

• Develop practices for risk management, dependency tracking, and executive escalation.

• Collaborate with Professional Services leadership, consultants, technical resources, Sales, and Customer Success.

• Act as the executive point of contact for project status updates, risk management, and escalation processes.

• Create customer satisfaction feedback checkpoints at significant delivery milestones.

• Oversee project health, milestones, budgets, hours, and utilization reporting utilizing Rocketlane or similar PSA platforms.

• Monitor forecast accuracy, time-to-value, and financial performance across the portfolio.

• Identify systemic delivery risks and devise process changes, playbooks, templates, and dashboards.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Professional Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing complex enterprise technology implementations or Professional Services engagements, including multiple concurrent projects or portfolios.

• Proven experience in leading and developing Project Managers.

• Strong skills in executive customer communication and escalation management.

• Demonstrated ability to create or enhance PMO processes, including templates, governance standards, reporting, and delivery methodologies.

• In-depth understanding of PMI-aligned project management disciplines, including planning, risk, scope, and change management.

• Experience with managing project financials, including budgets, hours, forecasts, and change requests.

• Experience in managing resource plans across a portfolio of engagements.

• Experience working within global, cross-functional organizations that span multiple regions and time zones.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, information technology, or a related field.

• PMP certification is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Rocketlane, Salesforce, or similar PSA platforms is preferred.

• Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, customer experience, CCaaS, telecommunications, testing/automation, or related technology is preferred.
