Principal Product Manager – Synthetic Monitoring, Digital Experience Monitoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of synthetic monitoring for Cortex XCOR

• Convert front-end testing requirements into a standardized product defined as code, executable globally or within customer networks

• Integrate synthetic monitoring and real-user monitoring data in collaboration with the RUM team

• Conduct primary research involving SREs, front-end developers, and platform teams

• Interact with customers, design partners, and field teams through discovery calls and interviews

• Engage in sales calls and collect feedback for prioritizing the product roadmap

• Collaborate with engineers and technical stakeholders to define and deliver the product

• Create OpenTelemetry-native synthetic results that align with existing metrics, traces, and logs

• Manage the execution model, including scheduling, deployment locations, customer billing, and customer control

• Establish KPIs to assess customer value and impact

• Own, organize, communicate, and enhance the product roadmap

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated platform features and workflows

• Work with product marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies

• Analyze the market, engage in design discussions, meet customers, and identify product gaps

• Develop a competitive product offering and define performance metrics and competitive-gap priorities

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a product manager

• Extensive knowledge of enterprise software

• Experience with monitoring, testing, or developer infrastructure products such as synthetic monitoring, end-to-end browser testing, API testing, or CI/CD tools

• Proficient understanding of end-to-end modern web application testing

• Experience with browser automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress

• Knowledge in HTTP and API testing

• Familiarity with DNS, TCP, and TLS

• Proven track record of taking a product from concept to launch

• Capability to present to senior customer leadership and company executives

• History of delivering products using agile methodologies and rapid feedback loops

• Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into the Product Development Lifecycle while maintaining critical thinking skills

• Familiarity with observability and OpenTelemetry is advantageous (not mandatory)

• Experience in building AI Native products and/or managing MCP servers is beneficial (not mandatory)

• Understanding of digital experience monitoring, Core Web Vitals, user journeys, and JavaScript exceptions is helpful (not mandatory)

• Comfort with test-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD workflows is advantageous (not mandatory)

• Experience in building and operating Software as a Service, including customer-workload unit economics is beneficial (not mandatory)

• Familiarity with design-led product development principles is a plus (not mandatory)
