This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of and enhance Upstart’s comprehensive credit conversion strategy, starting from the application process through to offer acceptance and beyond.
• Address significant conversion challenges, assisting users in understanding various offers and confidently progressing forward.
• Optimize Upstart’s credit portfolio by increasing personal loans and aligning users with appropriate products.
• Establish success metrics and focus on high-return opportunities.
• Design and assess experiments as needed.
• Analyze funnel data and translate insights into product decisions.
• Develop customer insights through collaboration with research, consumer insights, and product marketing teams.
• Influence engineering, design, analytics, machine learning, marketing, compliance, and executive leadership, despite lacking direct authority.
• Leverage GenAI to aggregate qualitative inputs, conduct exploratory analyses, and prototype concepts.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management.
• Significant ownership of high-scale B2C mobile and desktop consumer experiences with demonstrable business impact.
• Proven success in significantly enhancing a complex conversion funnel through product strategy, experimentation, analytics, and customer insights.
• History of guiding teams to achieve specific KPIs, such as conversion enhancements and revenue growth.
• Exceptional quantitative acumen, including assessment of funnel data, behavioral segmentation, opportunity sizing, experimental interpretation, and downstream effect analysis.
• Strong experimentation capabilities, encompassing hypothesis formulation, experiment design, A/B testing, funnel analysis, and results evaluation.
• Keen consumer product intuition regarding high-consideration decisions involving trust, uncertainty, or significant trade-offs.
• Ability to navigate between strategic and detailed product inquiries.
• Proven ability to lead intricate cross-functional initiatives and align various stakeholders without formal organizational authority.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in fintech, lending, financial services, marketplaces, insurance, or other regulated high-consideration industries.
• Preferred: familiarity with personalization, recommendation systems, matching, pricing, or machine learning-enhanced consumer experiences.
• Preferred: knowledge of identity verification, bank linking, income verification, Plaid, or similar financial data infrastructures.
• Preferred: experience in developing and scaling multi-product ecosystems or B2C marketplaces.
