
Principal Product Manager – Experimentation Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and lead the strategy and roadmap for Upstart’s experimentation platform.
• Balance the urgent business requirements with a scalable, long-term vision for the platform that supports agentic products.
• Collaborate with teams in Machine Learning, Analytics, and Engineering to create unified experimentation capabilities.
• Develop methodologies for randomized experiments, model deployments, feature flags, and novel experimentation patterns.
• Create standard abstractions and guidelines to minimize fragmentation and enhance the quality of experimentation.
• Establish a center of excellence by defining standards and promoting effective experimentation practices.
• Collaborate with Growth, Servicing, Capital, and other stakeholder teams to identify needs, prioritize opportunities, and encourage adoption.
• Lead the technology and vendor partnerships for experimentation, assessing external capabilities versus in-house development.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 7 years of product management experience.
• Proven experience managing strategy and roadmaps for technically intricate software, platforms, infrastructure, data, or developer-facing products.
• Proven experience collaborating with engineering, data science, Machine Learning, or Analytics teams on technical product architecture, trade-offs, and delivery.
• Experience applying quantitative techniques, including statistics, experimentation, analytics, or data science, in product development and decision-making.
• Background in developing platforms that support Machine Learning or AI workflows, including deployment, measurement, or experimentation.
• Availability within East/West coast time zones.
• Please note that hiring is currently not available for roles based in Quebec, Canada.
