Principal Product Manager, Core Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product strategy and the ongoing development of the CPN Payments Engine.

• Establish the long-term vision and roadmap for payment creation, processing, routing, and settlement.

• Enhance payment success rates, reduce latency, improve resilience, and increase processing efficiency through data analysis.

• Set the direction for OFI Payments APIs and BFI quoting and settlement protocols.

• Spearhead investments that enable new payment use cases, corridors, rails, and partner capabilities.

• Define capabilities for monitoring, alerting, exception management, and operational tooling.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Business Development, and product leaders on complex architectural and business trade-offs.

• Create frameworks, metrics, and product practices throughout the CPN.

• Mentor fellow product managers and act as a subject matter expert on payment infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience, with a substantial background in Product Management focused on payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure products.

• Extensive experience managing platform or infrastructure products such as APIs, payment processing systems, settlement platforms, routing systems, or developer-facing capabilities.

• Proven ability to define product strategy and lead complex initiatives that span multiple engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and technical proficiency, capable of using payment performance, reliability, and operational data to pinpoint systemic issues and inform product investment decisions.

• Demonstrated history of delivering measurable enhancements to large-scale systems, including improvements in reliability, success rates, latency, scalability, operational efficiency, or customer outcomes.

• Expertise in assessing complex technical and business trade-offs and translating them into clear product decisions, priorities, and long-term platform investments.

• Excellent cross-functional influence and communication skills, including the ability to achieve alignment with senior leaders and stakeholders across Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and commercial teams.

• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of payment networks, cross-border payments, settlement systems, correspondent banking, stablecoins, or blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

• Preferred: Experience with enterprise API products, two-sided networks, and compliance-oriented payment systems, including SLAs, payment lifecycle events, exception handling, sanctions screening, RFIs, or the Travel Rule.
