This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee product design for intricate initiatives within Figure Markets and enhance shared experiences across Figure Lending and other offerings.
• Transform vague or incomplete product specifications into clear, end-to-end user experiences.
• Recognize absent logic, dependencies, edge cases, and potential opportunities.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of financial concepts, customer workflows, business models, and technical limitations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams from problem identification through to implementation.
• Investigate solutions to challenging issues, articulate tradeoffs, and support product decisions.
• Design complex workflows, data-intensive interfaces, account and transaction experiences, permissions, states, and interaction models.
• Anticipate error states, lifecycle changes, permissions, regulatory constraints, system behavior, and downstream impacts.
• Create prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Figure’s design system and establish reusable design patterns.
• Work alongside Engineering during implementation to maintain design integrity and address constraints.
• Utilize research, customer feedback, product data, domain expertise, and cross-functional insights.
• Present design work to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Offer critique and mentorship to fellow designers.
• Identify patterns and opportunities across Markets, Lending, and prospective product domains.
• Clarify complex issues, enhance team decision-making, and make sophisticated financial capabilities accessible and user-friendly.
• A minimum of 8 years of product design experience, including extensive involvement with complex products or major product segments.
• A portfolio showcasing robust product thinking, interaction design, and visual craftsmanship through real-world, shipped experiences.
• Proven history of addressing complex issues where requirements, customer needs, or the foundational product model were not fully defined at the beginning.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to comprehend how decisions influence workflows, states, users, and other systems.
• Excellent interaction design skills for intricate workflows, data-rich products, and multi-step experiences.
• Solid visual design fundamentals, incorporating typography, hierarchy, layout, information density, interaction details, and product refinement.
• Capacity to independently manage work from initial problem framing to detailed design and execution.
• Comfort in closely collaborating with engineers and a sufficient understanding of technical systems to make pragmatic design choices.
• Strong communication and storytelling capabilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in influencing Product and Engineering partners and constructively questioning requirements.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive direct, thoughtful feedback.
• A customer-first approach that emphasizes clarity, trust, and usability.
• Compliance with all company security policies and data handling protocols.
• Completion of mandatory security awareness training within specified timeframes.
• Timely reporting of suspected security incidents or suspicious activities to the Security team.

• Preferred: experience in designing fintech, trading, investing, lending, crypto, capital markets, payments, or other financial products.
• Preferred: experience in regulated industries.
• Preferred: familiarity with institutional or professional financial workflows.
• Preferred: experience with complex account structures, transaction lifecycles, roles and permissions, or financial data.
• Preferred: experience contributing to design systems.
• Preferred: familiarity with front-end technologies and modern product development methodologies.
• Preferred: experience utilizing prototyping and emerging AI tools.
