This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Act as a trusted technical consultant for customers, partners, and account teams throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with sales teams to grasp customer business and technical needs, formulate account strategies, and pinpoint opportunities.
• Design, architect, validate, and promote solutions for data centers, WAN, cloud, AI infrastructure, and open networking.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, executive presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Create solution architectures, implementation strategies, migration plans, and engineering bills of materials for enterprise, cloud provider, and service provider settings.
• Manage and provide technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customer stakeholders and industry partners.
• Counsel customers on data center modernization, AI networking, cloud connectivity, WAN transformation, network automation, and the adoption of open networking.
• Work alongside Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and strategic partners to represent customer needs and influence product direction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions.
• Disseminate knowledge through customer enablement, technical presentations, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
• Travel as required to support business and customer goals.
• Over 10 years of experience in technical pre-sales, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Network Engineering, Consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale Data Center, WAN, Cloud, AI Infrastructure, and Service Provider networking solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN, spine-leaf and Clos architectures, underlay/overlay networking, DCI, and Ethernet fabric technologies.
• Strong grasp of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, Traffic Engineering, and Layer 2/Layer 3 VPN services.
• Experience in designing and implementing WAN architectures and cloud connectivity solutions for enterprises, clouds, and service providers.
• Familiarity with supporting AI, HPC, cloud, and large-scale distributed application environments.
• Strong proficiency in routing, switching, and network infrastructure technologies.
• Ability to engage technical and business stakeholders through presentations, workshops, and consultative selling efforts.
• Experience in developing RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses and leading solution validation efforts.
• Practical experience with HPE Networking, Juniper, or other leading networking platforms and management solutions.
• Knowledge of open networking, network disaggregation, or SONiC-based solutions.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Preferred experience with SONiC, hyperscale or cloud provider environments, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, VMware, OpenStack, and certifications such as JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
