Finance Systems Analyst – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Automate recurring accounting processes related to reconciliations, variance analysis, flux commentary, and closing tasks.

• Extract, cleanse, and integrate data from NetSuite GL, transactions, subledgers, and other source systems.

• Develop and sustain dashboards and regular reports for the Accounting and Finance departments.

• Collaborate with Business Intelligence to create and test financial data models.

• Trace dbt/SQL logic to identify discrepancies and confirm outputs against the general ledger.

• Prepare requests for audits and PBC (Prepared By Client) documentation.

• Document processes and queries effectively.

• Resolve issues with malfunctioning reports, failed data loads, and reconciliation discrepancies.

• Manage finance systems, including NetSuite, Aleph, and accounts payable automation tools.

• Transition manual spreadsheet operations to automated workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 1–5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or data-centric role.

• Proficient SQL skills, encompassing complex joins and aggregations.

• Familiarity with dbt, including models, sources, and data lineage.

• Capability to test changes comprehensively and identify issues in data models, queries, and processes.

• Advanced Excel proficiency.

• Practical experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage requests, juggle multiple projects, and communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with keen attention to detail.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Experience with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI; knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting logic; CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA certification.
