This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on opportunity qualification, product demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations, and training sessions.
• Spearhead the technical and product sales process, recommending best-practice solutions while assisting customers in utilizing Twilio’s APIs effectively.
• Identify customer technical challenges and craft, showcase, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Create and deliver engaging, intricate customer product demonstrations for Twilio Communications Products.
• Develop trusted-advisor relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independently drive the technical aspects of the majority of opportunities.
• Provide leadership and support within the Solutions Engineer team.
• Oversee the design and implementation of medium to large-scale projects.
• Engage in team architectural discussions and collaborate with Product and other Twilio teams.
• Recognize and address customer and organizational challenges.
• Share knowledge, demonstration materials, and reusable presentations with the Solutions Engineering community.
• Mentor junior Solutions Engineers.
• Minimum of 8 years of pre-sales experience in selling complex, technical products OR over 10 years of professional experience in supporting technical products alongside customer-facing experience, especially in delivery or consulting.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to build audience confidence and convey complex subjects to various audience levels.
• Proficiency in understanding customers’ communication requirements and guiding them towards technical solutions.
• Prior software development experience or substantial knowledge in relevant technical domains.
• Previous exposure to Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security sectors.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
