Principal Platform/Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide the strategic design, development, and upkeep of software systems for a healthcare SaaS platform.

• Architect, code, and scale robust AWS infrastructure alongside modern Agentic AI systems.

• Manage large-scale projects and foster innovation.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Lead engineers across various departments.

• Maintain technical excellence through scalable, secure, well-designed, and automated engineering practices.

• Spearhead the design and development of software applications and systems.

• Direct technical execution for autonomous AI agent integrations, LLM workflows, and multi-agent systems.

• Create and advocate for production-grade CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and infrastructure-as-code on AWS.

• Mentor senior engineers, perform code reviews, maintain code quality standards, and address architectural bottlenecks.

• Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and efficient code.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues through troubleshooting, debugging, dependency analysis, and cross-team collaboration.

• Define project scope, requirements, priorities, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare standards, security expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal governance.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and uphold accountability for sprint deliverables and SDLC execution.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, technology adoption, skill enhancement, and knowledge sharing.

• Involve in interviewing, candidate evaluation, goal setting, associate development, performance feedback, and review input.

• Provide technical guidance across teams without direct managerial authority.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of cloud and DevOps engineering, with significant expertise in AWS, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.

• Proven track record of deploying Agentic AI models, autonomous AI agent integrations, LLM workflows, or multi-agent systems into production environments.

• Significant experience with software engineering methodologies, Agile delivery, SDLC governance, and contemporary engineering practices.

• Advanced proficiency in full-stack development encompassing user interface, middle tier, backend, APIs, integrations, and associated technologies.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, resiliency, security, performance optimization, and non-functional requirements.

• Advanced knowledge of networking, compute platforms, storage, databases, middleware, systems management, and security protocols.

• Demonstrated capability to lead large-scale technical projects, estimate complex tasks, manage milestones, and guide technical teams effectively.

• Strong skills in leadership, mentoring, coaching, communication, and strategic planning.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, debugging, and meticulous attention to detail in complex distributed systems.

• Ability to embrace iterative delivery, innovation, continuous improvement, evolving technology trends, and AI-enabled engineering practices.

• Responsive to internal and external customers, balancing technical excellence with business priorities and stakeholder needs.

• Familiarity with mainframe and/or mid-tier programming (COBOL, ALC, DB2) and file utilities is preferred.

• 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• 2 years of leadership experience, including leading teams and managing projects.

• Experience working with a complex matrix of stakeholders.

• Proven experience deploying Agentic AI models in production settings.

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the US.
